The Bridge in Prestbury and The Vicarage in Cranage, two of Cheshire's most distinguished hospitality establishments, is in the process of transitioning under new management following the announcement that Flat Cap Hotels had entered into administration.
Flat Cap Hotels, which formerly owned The Bridge, The Vicarage, and The Courthouse, faced insurmountable economic pressures leading to their entry into administration on January 11th. Joint administrators Gareth Prince, Julian Pitt, and Mark Malone of Begbies Traynor collaborated to secure the future of these iconic venues.
Under their stewardship and the operational support of Condor Hotels, their efforts are aimed at preserving the invaluable front-of-house teams and safeguarding the venues until a suitable sale is made. Condor Hotels is a renowned hospitality management company, dedicated to providing unparalleled support to hospitality venues.
"These Grade II listed sites hold a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike," said Yvonne Jackson, CEO of Condor Hotels. "Condor are in a privileged position to take the reins and support the teams within each property. Our priority is to seamlessly continue operations, providing unforgettable experiences for our guests and maintaining the valuable community spirit”.
On site, the teams are supported by Paul Wadsworth, GM. Wadsworth has a wealth of experience in the industry and is committed to maintaining a 'business as usual' approach, ensuring that both The Bridge and The Vicarage continue to serve as cornerstones of their respective communities throughout this transition.
With strong teams in place, managed by Laura Fuller (The Bridge) and Jemma Marshall (The Vicarage), the two colleagues are dedicated to upholding the heritage and reputation of these Grade II listed sites. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on preserving the value of these historic properties, the teams look forward to welcoming guests old and new to experience the warm hospitality that awaits.
